This actually took place today.  I swear.

At a mall in Grand Rapids Michigan, there is a line outside the door for Sarah Palin’s first book tour appearance. Let the madness ensue:

Reporter: What do you like about Sarah Palin?

Fanatic#1: She’s real. She’s just like us. She’s not politics as usual.

Reporter: What about you? I see your shirt says…

Fanatic#2:  I love Sarah!

Reporter:  Now, you do realize that Sarah Palin supported the bailouts right?

Fanatic#2:  ….

Fanatic#2:  Where… where did you hear that?

Reporter:  It’s common knowledge.  She supported them, as did John McCain.

Fanatic#2:  I don’t believe that is true.  I haven’t seen that.

Reporter:  It’s documented.  She did support them.  She has since come out against them.

Fanatic#2:  …

Fanatic#1:  I’d like to say something about that if I may.  I think she supported them without knowing what they were, then the bailouts were changed by…

Reporter:  Yes?

Fanatic#1:  Oh what is his name?  I can’t think of it… what is it?  I know he changed what the terms were.

Reporter:  Yes, well maybe you’ll think of it.  From the looks of this crowd, and your enthusiasm, I’m sure Mrs. Palin can’t wait to show up.

Fanatic#2:  We love you Sarah!!!

Reporter: Back to you in the studio.
