Seriously, what the fuck is this? This ridiculous picture was surreptitiously taken off of the Republican National Committee’s Facebook page. I wonder why? Folks, stop wondering whether or not there is a rabid racist element in the Republican party.
The above photo had been up on Facebook since October 20th. SIX WHOLE DAYS! Why was this not taken down immediately? For those of you who don’t know, here is the definition of miscegenation:
Miscegenation refers to the “marriage or cohabitation between a man and woman of different races.” Loving v. Virginia was a landmark Supreme Court case that, in 1967, struck down all of the US’s laws against interracial marriage.
I’m going to leave the the fact that they caught the President eating fried chicken out of this. It’s an old, worn stereotype that deserves no dignification. After all, don’t white folks eat fried chicken? I guess they eat it with a knife and fork. It’s more sophisticated, and less barbaric.
I am appalled, but not surprised. God bless America.
