From Politico:
President Barack Obama got a welcome piece of good economic news at the end of a difficult week for the White House, as the Commerce Department reported Friday that the nation’s economy grew by nearly 6 percent at the end of 2009, far faster than analysts expected.
The gross domestic product rose a seasonally adjusted 5.7 percent during the fourth quarter, and it could be a sign that the pace of economic recovery is beginning to pick up.
Good news. Jobs are still a major concern, but this is most welcome news for the country, and for the administration. Right? Not according to Republican Mike Pence:
I believe that the patient will likely continue to recover despite the prescription of the physician…
I don’t think we should be looking to the economic policies of the Carter administration to get us out of the worst recession in 25 years…
