Who’s idea was this? From the AJC:
MARTA officials were warned by an employee before the name change last October that Atlanta’s burgeoning Asian community would find the term for the line to Doraville offensive.
While I’m sure there was no malice intended with this name change (Actually, I’m not really sure of that) this is a real example of extreme ignorance and insensitivity. Why yellow? Why not magenta?
