Call it a “black” experience – or evidence that people are people and Tiger has been leading nothing but a human life. Isn’t that what we wanted?
Supposedly if he had been sleeping with black women America wouldn’t care – this is a major thread in the blogs, such as here. But is this true? Let’s say the photos of the Tiger bimbos were of shapely brown-skinned babes – can we really say that the tabloids would suddenly lose interest and go home? Wouldn’t this be even better news – i.e. “Looks like Tiger got tired of his skinny white trophy wife and needed some chocolate?” [...] The Civil Rights revolution was about allowing people to not only become President, but to fuck up “post-racially.” Let’s – as progressives in the true sense – go with it.
What a bunch of bullshit. Why do we obsess over any little thing that distracts from real, life-altering events happening now on our planet? Why do I lend credence to this discussion by blogging about it? Because I’m caught in the trap sprung by the Motherfucking TMZ media generation, and any discussion that begins with “why does Tiger only sleep with white girls,” makes my blood boil beneath my skin. The irony here is our post-racial society– initially achieved by relegating our bigoted, segregated past to the back of the bus— cannot properly function without being racially divisive. Who are we?

If she didn’t have a good chance you liberals would not keep running stories daily headlines about her not being qualified, nor would your supporters spend most of their time responding or commenting on how she doesn’t have a chance. Funny how an attractive, intelligent republican female scares you guys so much. Must be because she not the average female liberal, A mullet wearing, PETA supporting lesbian member of NOW. Poor libs cant sleep at night worring about her. GO SARAH!!
I don’t have any issues with Sarah Palin’s attractiveness or her “intelligence” –though the latter to me is debatable– I have issues with her dedication to her role as the “savior” of the American dream.
Just the sheer volume of responses confirm my suspicions, the liberals are scared to death of Sara Palin because she stands for freedom, honesty, decency and motherhood. Not afraid to speak her mind and not afraid to confront critics. Her message rings true to much of America, remember Obama did not win in a landslide. Quote polls all you want in your rants. Will she run for President? Are her qualifications less than a community organizer? If she runs, she will win.
What’s the point of discussing the previous election in this context? Whether it was a landslide or not, the margin was significant enough to warrant the blanket of scrutiny the former governor is wrapped under. Her wow factor wasn’t enough to dissuade voters from ignoring her anemic record and empty policy knowledge. It’s nice to trot out the flowery adjectives like she’s decent and honest–as if those folks serving up the platitudes know the woman intimately enough to qualify them.
The issue in my mind is not fear of Mrs. Palin, not for liberals at least. It’s desperation. Desperation on the part of conservatives trumpeting her as the new-age Reagan. Hardly. She lacks the charismatic gravitas Reagan displayed. Worse, she believes that her conservative appeal trumps her real lack of policy credentials. She does not take the power given her by her enthused base seriously– to become a more effective communicator– and a more credible political figure. If there is any fear here, the good governor wields it like a sword.
Fox News really needs to find new copy editors.

Why does he even bother opening his mouth? Michael Steele– in answering a clearly baited question from political commentator Roland Martin– once again invites a pointy wing-tip to kick him square in the ass:

Dumb. Does he have to say something stupid into every microphone he comes across? How long is the GOP willing to give this clown the stage? I say he has until January 1st, to keep scaring white republicans before they give him the boot.

This is not a protest against FOX, it is a request for Bill O’Reilly to be true to his words and provide fair and balanced reporting, particularly on the issue of Barack Obama’s eligibility. Bill O’Reilly made defamatory remarks on his program and refuses to provide equal time to respond. Hundreds of people have written to O’Reilly to no avail. If O’Reilly provides equal time, protest will not be necessary. We expect better from FOX. This is not fair and not balanced.
Well, I’m sure glad Sarah Palin is co-signing on this patriotic crusade. It’ll make her already strong case to be the next President of the United States that much stronger. Think about it: With true American crusaders like this behind you, how can you not win?
